She’elot U’Teshuvot HaRashb”a, 1255 halachic responsa by Rabbi Shlomo ben Aderet – the Rashb”a. Early edition of the Rashb”a’s responsa in small format, with a detailed index filling 22 leaves and a title page illustrated with biblical figures and motifs. Owner’s signatures and dedication on the title page: “With this, too, the L-rd has granted me good, Meir Stern of Hamburg,” and on leaf 41a, “Stern.” There is a lengthy scholarly gloss on leaf 13a. There are also novellae brought in his name in Siftei Chachamim al HaTorah. Additional owners’ stamps and signatures: “Eliezer Zilber” on the back of the title page, and “Moshe HaKohen …” on leaf 2, with hands raised in blessing. 322 leaves, 18 cm. Fine-very fine condition. Aging stains. New binding.
