Photograph with NBA player Michael Jordan’s signature from his youth, at the age of 19 when he played for North Carolina’s team in the college league. With certificate of authenticity.
Michael Jeffery Jordan was born in 1963 in Brooklyn, NY. When he was 17, his family moved to North Carolina, where he began to play in the college basketball league, and within a short time, he became known as the leading high school player [it’s interesting to note that when he was 16, he was dropped from his high school’s basketball team, having been deemed unfit!] After his first year as a player (1981), he was named Freshman Player of the Year. In 1982, Jordan scored the winning basket against Georgetown University in the final round of the college basketball championship. He later stated that same basket as being a turning point deciding his career. He joined the Chicago Bulls in 1984, and in his very first season became the key player on the team, and within a short time, he was the outstanding star of the best league in the world – a description he maintained throughout all his years as a player, with a long list of personal records in every position he played on the field. He retired from basketball in 2003.
[Signed] photographs of Jordan in North Carolina uniform are rare, as they were photographed in his youth before his earning fame and multiple titles wearing the Chicago Bulls uniform. In the past few years, some of them have been sold for huge sums all over the world.
