Six letters in the gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky’s handwriting. One letter is on a postcard with his handwriting and with his signature, and the rest are in his handwriting but not signed.
In the responsa on the postcard which was sent in 2000, the gaon responds to a question relation to the laws of women’s modesty, he includes the opinion of the Chazon Ish: ‘On the issue of seeing while engaged in holy matters, the opinion of the Chazon Ish is that until about the age of seven one should be lenient.’ The gaon’s signature appears on the side designated for the details of the sender. The unsigned letters contain the gaon’s responsa on various topics: ‘הקיפו י”ב אמה כ”ד התוי”ט’ “Blessing must be performed with hands clean of residual food,” “According to the GR”A, tefillin are dependent on writing and this is the custom of Ashkenazim,” “Handwashing is a disgrace only for the one blessing,” “Apparently it is prayer,” “Why there is no reference from there,” “Individuals transmitted to the the public, see R”H 7a.”
