Booklet of [10] spectacularly colorful receipts from the Sefat Emet yeshivah – Jerusalem branch. Unused, fully complete. Alter Press, c. 1930.
The “booklet” is composed of receipts sent to public figures who were requested to influence donors to support the yeshivah. These are not regular receipts, rather receipts designated for major donors exclusively, with a promise that after they make a donation, an inclusive receipt for all ten donors will be sent, signed by the Admo”r himself!”
The receipts are designed at an especially high standard, with pictures of the Western Wall, Rachel’s Tomb, and the Tower of David. There are several lines about the yeshivah on the back of the receipt, in Yiddish, German and English.
[10] detachable receipts, [1] instruction leaf for the representative, and a jacket cover. 21×11.5 cm.
Fine condition. Very minimal aging stains. The staples are slightly rusted.
