Elegant and stunning parchment scroll written by an artistic scribe in Ashkenazic script – ktav Beit Yosef – in sparkling, shiny ink, on light, high-quality parchment. The megillah is decorated along its entire length with delicate handmade artistic illustrations in gilt and all the colors of the rainbow. [Israel, 21st century].
A pair of Herodian pillars with flower vases are painted at the beginning of the meggilah, on the white tail of the parchment. Following these, where the text starts, is the title in gilt letters: “Nishmat.” Stunning paintings depicting the beauty of Creation as it is expressed in this special prayer adorn the entire bottom part of the megillah. (Musical instruments, birds, animals, dancing Chassidim and more.)
Segulah to be saved from any difficulty: The segulah of reciting of the Nishmat prayer has always been known (refer to the Hebrew catalog text for several examples of this segulah). In the previous generation, this segulah became renowned due to the recommendation of the gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and his wife Bat Sheva to their petitioners: “Take upon yourself to recite ‘Nishmat’ when you have received your salvation.” And indeed, every night at midnight, there are minyanim who gather to say ‘Nishmat’ in public.
