Tefillah l’kibbutz galuyoteinu. A prayer for the in-gathering of our exiles and the tikkun keri to be said every day, and “mesirat moda’ah” in Yiddish. Amsterdam [without the name of the printer]. [1705]. Single edition.
12 leaves, 14 cm.
A long prayer which was printed with vowelized letters. The prayer was written by Rabbi Avraham son of Rabbi Natan Margaliot, and Rabbi Lieberman Eliezer Mansfuch. In the introduction is written that the sin of keri is what is delaying the redemption. On the last leaves is a declaration in Hebrew and Yiddish, in which the person declares that he wishes to die while reciting the Shema prayer, but if the Satan should incite him, then he declares now that it is all null and void. Before the prayer is written: As there are several men and women…who are originally good and then do evil deeds…and I found a remedy and bandage for their disease, that they should make a declaration.
Especially rare.
Soft marbleized paper binding. Aging stains. The corners of the leaves are slightly folded. Fine condition.
