Tevuot Shor – compositions on the halachahs of ritual slaughter and treifot by Rabbi Alexander Schorr, with Levushi Sarad by Rabbi David Shlomo Eibeschutz. Zhitomir, 1868.
Along the entire length of the book, there are many dozens of handwritten glosses.
The glosses have not been properly examined, but they were clearly written by a venerable scholar who also served as an expert adjudicator.
Included in the writer’s language: “It appears in my humble opinion, ” “This is apparently practical halachah, in my humble opinion, ” “I didn’t find this in the Sha”ch, ” “I was not privileged to find this in the Sha”ch, ” “In my humble opinion, this was not the intent of the Tevuot Shor , ” “I am an ignorant person who does not know, ” “His words do not appear to be the law” …
The writer also indicates and refers to words he wrote in another place.
