This HaMaggid commentary is completely different from the earlier publications. In addition, it was printed in block letters, and not in Tze’enah U’Re’enah lettering. Aside from the HaMaggid commentary, other commentaries were included: Targum Yonatan Ben Uziel, Rash”i’s commentary and references from Sefer Toldot Aharon ; Metzudat David and Metzudat Tziyon.
Two identical unidentified owner’s signatures appear on the top of the title page. The final page bears a list of three births, in the years 1819, 1821 and 1824.
290 leaf, 24.5 cm. Bluish paper. Especially wide, margins, up to 7 cm from the printed text. The title page is the standard size; the margins of the title page were evened out with matching paper from the period of printing.
Fine-moderate condition. Minimal aging and ink stains. Worming perforations. Adhesion in the margins of the title page. Light adhesions in the margins of the final [3] leaves, far from the text. New binding.
