Two title pages at the beginning of each volume, the first title page is a copperplate engraving signed by artist Solomon Polk, followed by an English title page. Haftarot at the end of each volume, with an English title page. The Pentateuch was printed according to the other edition printed that year without the translation. The English translation is on facing pages, with English comments printed along the length of the page, underneath the translation.
Rare chumashim. The National Library does not have a complete copy.
Original leather bindings with gold embossing. The spine has been blemished and replaced with a cloth spine. Minimal stains. Tear to the title page of Genesis [the one in English]. Solitary leaves at the beginning of some bindings have been reinforced with tape [without loss]. Fine-very fine condition. Vinogard, London 116.
