“Heart” Torah breastplate. India, [1932].
Description: [1] breastplate of unmarked silver. Heart-shaped. A number of holes on the edges to enable sewing the plate to the mantle. Pleasant script for the inscription: “This breastplate and curtain in memory of nr”n h”m Yechezkel Rachamim Yechezkel who passed away … Friday …16th of Nissan, 1932….” With a star of David with kabbalistic letters on the bottom.
Condition: Very fine. Silver chain attached to the plate.
