Rabbi Avraham HaLevi Levison [d. 3 Shevat 1860] was Av Beit Din of Piskeretshes – Shlezye. He was a disciple of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Auerbach of Ostrowa. He authored Mekorei HaMinhagim (Berlin 1847.) His brother Rabbi Yehudah Leib (Ludwig) Levinson served in the rabbinate of Frankfurt am Main, Worms and Stockholm. He was a renowned scholar and published books on animals in the Talmud called Toldot Ba’alei HaChaim and HaKorbanot B’Sifrei HaTanach as well as Nefashot Tzaddikim. Fine condition.
