Two letters with five halachic responsa handwritten and signed by the great gaon Rabbi Shaul Alter, rosh yeshivah of Sefat Emet.
One letter is a responsum on the laws of orlah [four lines in his handwriting and with his signature] and the second letter refers to the laws of pesachim [six lines in his handwriting and with his signature].
The responsa appear on the letters with the inquiries which were sent detailing the long deliberations in the handwriting of the inquirers.
The gaon Rabbi Shaul Alter [b. 1957] is the second son of the Admor, the author of Pnei Menachem of Gur. He was appointed by his father – after he arose to serve as Admor of Gur during a gap in 1992 – to take his place at the head of the Sefat Emet yeshivah in Jerusalem. He became renowned for his insightful intelligence, and many listen to his lessons. His students published a series of books called Yalkut Shiurim from his deep Talmudic lessons.
[3] lined leaves [most with the text of the inquiry in the inquirer’s handwriting]; very fine condition.
