Sketch – ink on paper – Adam and Chava in Gan Eden, done on the back of a student’s certificate from the “Bezalel Study Hall of Handicrafts.” The certificate is from the first decade of the 20th century, the first days of the school. Picture characteristic of Ze’ev Raban’s style.
On the right side of the page, there is an arch with figures of Adam and Chava and the snake within it, and the inscription (Hebrew) ‘Do not eat from the tree of knowledge’ in pencil. Below, a lion facing the center. The picture is unfinished and there are visible pencil lines for completion.
