After the Holocaust, a special beit din was established in Budapest to release agunot. Members of the beit din included Rabbi Yaakov Segal Leibovitch, Rabbi Yisrael Weltz, and Rabbi Shimon Yisrael Posen. This booklet addresses the halachos of heretics and whether they must perform yibum and chalitzah. The rabbis’ signatures appear at the end of the booklet. Rabbi Yechiel Michel Shlager printed a critique of this booklet in his Peninei Yam, Budapest [1948?].
This copy bears lengthy handwritten halachic comments with a critique of the printed work. These are possibly the comments of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Shlager [refer to: Wunder, Galicia 5, p. 279-283].
