A pleasant china plate produced by Wedgwood, England [written on the back: Made in England]. The plate was made in the company’s characteristic style [most of its pieces are of similar styles, but there are a few pieces made for Jews]. In the center is a Menorah and olive branches and the word “Israel” [in Hebrew]. Surrounding it is a raised [three-dimensional] pattern of leaves and flowers. Wedgwood, the English company which produces china and porcelain dishes was established in 1759 and exists to this day. Very fine condition.
