Beautiful manuscript, fascinating composition, hard to figure out. Abbreviated verses and topics from the entire Tana”ch, concluding with topics in astronomy and astrology. Very beautiful and orderly Ashkenazic script. Unknown author. Germany [Frankfurt?] 16th century.
The unknown author collected selected pesukim from each parashah in the Torah and all books of the Tana”ch. we have not managed to dive into the depths of the genius of the author’s mind and what guided him to select these verses. Notation on Yiddish-Deutch on the final leaves about astrology and astronomy. In the margins of the last leaf, in different script and different ink, the city Frankfurt is mentioned.
(115) written leaves, beautiful Ashkenazic script. High-quality paper. apparently lacking two leaves at the beginning (starting from the end of parashat Noach).
Fine condition. Aging stains. Worming marks, some restored with paper completions. Beautiful leather binding.
