Zevach HaShelamim. Commentary on the Torah and novellae on the Rambam, with novellae on the Talmud by Rabbi Moshe Galanti, with additions from his grandson Rabbi Moshe Chagiz, rearranged by Rabbi Moshe Sternburg of Krakow. Podgorze, 1898-1903. Two parts.
Zevach HaShelamim on the Torah. Podgorze, 1903. [10] 92 pages, 20 cm. Unknown edition.
Zevach HaShelamim on the Talmud. Podgorze, 1898. 30 pages, 20 cm.
The publisher rearranged the book and printed both parts in 1898. To the book on the Torah he printed approbations given to him by Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinov, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmelkish, Rabbi Yaakov Shaul Elyashar, and Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini. In this rare edition, new approbations are added, among them the approbation of Rebbe Shalom of Stropkov, the son of Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinov, who also gave an approbation and passed away in the meantime.
The publisher is Rabbi Moshe Sternburg, one of the sages of Krakow and publisher of Ma’aseh Toviah. He worked on preparing Anshei Shem Bizmaneinu and published articles in Asifat Chachamim. In the third edition of the responsa Shoel U’Meishiv [part one responsum 140], is a responsum to him.
On the endpaper, stamp of the publisher Rabbi Moshe Sternburg. Many handwritten corrections among the book’s leaves, apparently in his handwriting.
Simple loose binding. Brittle paper. First two leaves are detached. Fine condition.
