Zichron Yehuda. Responsa by Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald. Two sections. Budapest, [1923] – Ujhely, [1928]. First edition. Two copies of the first section with variations. Polemic. Section one: [6] 168 [6] pages, 2 copies. Section two: [7], 232 pages [some copies have a different number of pages at the beginning of the second section, due to a different arrangement of the introductions]. 31 cm. Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald [1849-1920] was a prominent Hungarian rabbi who served as rabbi in a number of communities: Bonyhad, נאדי שוראן and Satmar. Pages 156-157 of the first section feature a response sent to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld of Jerusalem, in which Rabbi Greenwald opposes the ‘Agudat Yisrael’ party. Due to the polemic, this response was switched for another one. Refer to A. Shisha, Shu”t Zichron Yehuda, Zefonot, year 3, issue 3 (11), 1991, p. 49. Here are two editions, one with the response that was recalled and the second with its replacement. Both books are in old bindings. Fine-very fine condition.
