Especially lengthy responsum handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal, may his blood be avenged, dealing with a number of topics, including: laws of land, oaths, and more. The letter is addressed to a scholarly youth from Oshpitsin, which is Auschwitz. Piestany, 1925. Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal [1885-1945] was a disciple of the authors of Arugat HaBosem and of Minchat Elazar of Munkacs. He served as Rosh Av Beit Din and and rosh yeshivah of Moriah in Piestany, in the Nitra region of western Slovakia, and is known for his book of responsa, Mishneh Sachir. With the outbreak of the Holocaust, he dealt with issues of exile, redemption, and the Land of Israel. He was an enthusiastic supporter of immigration to the Land of Israel. The author was killed towards the end of the Holocaust, on 13 Shevat 1945. The rabbi managed to publish these books in his lifetime: two parts of Shu”t Mishneh Sachir [Part I – 1924, Part II – 1941], Tov Yigal [1926] Derashot al Emunah V’Teshuvot, and Em HaBanim Smechah [1944]. After the Holocaust, his son Rabbi Chaim Menachem Teichtal z”l published three more parts of Shu”t Mishneh Sachir [arranged in the order of Shulchan Aruch], and a diary he wrote during the Holocaust: Emunah Tzerufah B’Kur HaShoah. The book Mishneh Sachir al HaTorah [Volume I] and al Moadim [two volumes] and a renewed publication of responsa on Ohr HaChaim [two volumes] were published by ‘Keren Re”em.’ Mishneh Sachir al Pirkei Avot, and al Zemirot Shabbat were published by his grandson Rabbi Yisrael Kloizner.
