Five volumes of Mishnah Berurah, parts I-V, printed in the author’s lifetime. Each volume contains the inscription ‘proofread’ on the flyleaf. The “Chafetz Chaim,” out of concern for theft or fraud, would meticulously examine all books to be sold for printing errors. Each book that was checked would have “מוגה” handwritten by him on it. Many of these notations have disappeared over the years following re-binding of the books or erasures of the inscription. The word “מוגה” is written on the flyleaf. The five parts are bound in similar bindings, with “Mishnah Berurah” imprinted [in Hebrew].
