Topped by a crown; star of David at center set with semi-precious stones; flanked by two large lions. Each lion has an artistic glass eye. Text embroidered at the bottom of the curtain: זאת הפרוכת שייך לביהמ”ד לומדי תורה נגמר ניסן תרכ”ז לפ”ק. Metal hanging ringsVery fine condition.

145*193 cm. Original fabric with stunning woven roses in white thread. In the center is a velvet rectangle on which the family’s dedication is richly embroidered with silver threads. For the souls of the parents from their son: Shalom Shaffar and the daughter Hindel .Impressive crown, about 15 mm, made of embroidery of gold and silver threads, studded with semi-precious stones and metal discs.Good condition. A few tears in the cloth. Stones missing .
Parochet for the Aron Kodesh. Gift of Michael Yehuda שאטטעלעס to the synagogue in the community of Yozefshtadt. [1881].Width 127 cm. Height 181 cm. Decorative embroidery in copper thread. Metal rings for hanging. Off-white cloth with embroidered flower patterns. A few tears in the front. Originally the curtain was 30 cm longer. However over the course of years this extra length was folded back. Hence this section with the writing and the decorations was preserved fully with its original beauty.As is well known, upon the destruction of Eastern Europe and the annihilation of the Jews, the Nazi’s ימ”ש made a museum and historical archive of the Jewish people, which they established in Marmarush, Romania. The Nazis transferred every beautiful and unusual article that they plundered in eastern Europe to this place. This curtain, which stood out in its undamaged state and beauty got to this museum as a result of these thieves. Inner lining of the curtain is stamped with three seals of the Nazi rule and their archives. (See photograph).

This beam rests on two columns, like an entranceway to a palace. Hebrew text at center: Impressive, artisan work.Height: 40 cm. Width: 27 cm. On the left and right, the velvet cloth opens along the columns because of the embroidery. A few additional light tears. Moderate condition.

Large wool tallit – prayer shawl. Eastern Europe, 18th century.The tallit is made from wool threads of different sizes and was spun by hand. The wool is unraveling in a number of places, creating spaces between the threads. Tears. Moderate – poor condition. 18×160 cm

An embroidered blue cloth, in the center of the parochet are copper Stones of the Testament, with the words: “In memory of Nissim Gajin” embroidered on them, 1955. Hanging rings at the top of the parochet. Fine condition.
