Poland-Russia. [1840] approximately. 19 leaf, 18.5 cm. The author Rabbi Zvi Hirsh from Nadvorna (1740 – to approximately – 1802] was the Admor and Magid Mesharim in Nadvorna. His childhood he spent with the Baal Shem Tov and was one of the students of the Magid of Mezeritsch and one of the great pupils of Rabbi Yehiel Michal, Hamagid of Zlotshov. At first he served as a Magid in Dolyna. Afterwards he moved to Nadvorna after which he is named. He compiled the book Tzemach Hashem Letzvi. See further about him: Wander, Galicia, 4, 40-43.
