“My might and the first of my strength”
Ayalah Sheluchah – ‘ Torah novellae by my deceased son, the tzaddik, the wise and young … Naftali ztzkllh”h’ by his father, the sacred Admo”r Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam of Shinova – son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, leading Admo”r of Galicia. Pshemishl, 1895. First edition.
The book opens with three moving introductions in which the Admo”r of Shinova describes his son’s short life. (Rare praise, as the Shinova Rebbe was known to be very cautious with truth his entire life and steered clear of exaggeration.) In the second part of the book, Ateret Zekeinim , there are novellae from Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga’s father-in-law, and as he wrote on the title page, “who was my son’s grandfather.”
