At the beginning of the letter there a long section of the works of Rabbi Hayim Vital, and after it is a description of the activities of the yeshiva and the virtues of those who engage in kabbala, and a call to support the yeshiva – which has no emissaries or funds. With praise for the donors and letters of recommendations of rabbis who visited the yeshiva.
“Rehovot HaNahar” yeshiva in Jerusalem was founded in 1896 by the mystic Rabbi Shaul Duek HaCohen (1933-1858), known by his moniker Rabbi HaSadeh. He was considered the greatest of Jerusalem’s kabbalists.
