Detailed, one-of-a-kind description of the differences between the Spanish/ Ladino speaking communities. The author expounds on Spanish poetry. For example, page 62 features an entire chapter about maqamas. Most of the book, through pg. 120, explains the different characteristics of the Spanish and Ladino speaking communities.
Page 275 through 280 features “Ladino poetry”. The preceding leaves feature songs for weddings and circumcisions. Words appear in the original Judeo-Spanish – Ladino. 33 cm.
Very fine condition, though the backstrip is missing. This was the last and largest of the author’s works on this subject.
