Chazon Nachum , commentary on mishnayot Seder Taharot by the Rishon LeTziyon Rabbi Eliezer Nachum. With the Mishnah text. First edition. Constantinople, 1745.
Pedigree copy: Owner’s signature on the title page: “Hashem has granted me this … Meyuchas son of Rabbi Shmuel.” Apparently this is the Rishon LeTziyon, Rabbi Rephael Meyuchas Bechor (the name Rephael was added in his adulthood due to an illness), author of Pri HaAdamah .
Pedigree binding: Large embossed gilt menorah on the front binding. In the book Ohe”l Re”em , a list of manuscripts in Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter of Gur’s library, it says that these bindings were especially made for the Admo”r, and a picture of the binding is included there as well (material attached). As such, this book (or at least the binding) is from the library of Rosh Golat Ariel , the author of Imrei Emet of Gur .
Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for brief biographies of the author, Rabbi Eliezer Nachum , and the book’s owner, Rabbi [Rephael] Meyuchas, son of Rabbi Shmuel .
