Highlights: An interesting postcard with an illustration of the “sons’ blessing” – published in America in the early 20th century [the postcard shows the mother without a head-covering, the father in a top hat, and in distinction to the Eastern European families which were presented on postcards as having many children, this postcard shows only two children, a boy and a girl. Refer to B’Shanah HaBa’ah Shanah Tovahs from the kibbutz by Muki Tzur – page 24]. Shanah Tovah postcards with short Yiddish inscriptions, Shanah Tovah with gilt decorations depicting a father and son learning, Shanah Tovah printed in Germany depicting the United States as “The Golden Land” and more.
