Don Yehuda Abarbanel was a rabbi, doctor, poet and philosopher. He was the son of the noted Rabbi Yitzchak Don Abarbanel. He left with his father when the Jews were expelled from Spain and reached Naples. There he served as doctor of the royal court, and wrote this treatise which was well-accepted by Jews and gentiles. It was translated into many languages. It was first printed in Hebrew by the “Mekitizei Nerdamim” society in 1871.
