Lengthy halachic letter – two leaves written over their entire surfaces, with a scholarly pilpul regarding the definition of shemirah , handwritten and signed by the sacred gaon Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichthal, may his blood be avenged. Sent to the gaon Rabbi Raphael Blum, av beit din of Mikhaylovets. Piestany, 1940.
This responsum was hidden together with the rest of the author’s writings in the possession of a non-Jew. The author held onto the hope that he would be able to redeem the writings and print them, but this did not come to fruition. The responsum was printed in the sefer Mishneh Sachir al Orach Chaim , siman 102.
When the responsum was being written, WWII had already broken out in full force.
