Unique historic-Chassidic letter, entirely handwritten, signed and stamped by the Admo”r Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Spinka, about the “Admo”rit” of Premishlan, daughter of the sacred rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Zhidichov. She left her husband and family behind in Europe, ascended to Jerusalem, and became a wonder-worker. Spinka, 1914. Letter/Amulet included of the type she would distribute to her petitioners.
‘May the bearer of this poetic letter find favor in your eyes, the prominent woman, the righteous Rebbetzin, scion of the sacred, wife of the famous praiseworthy gaon and tzaddik of distinguished lineage, scion of the sacred, great-grandson and grandson of the maggid of Kozhnitz ztz”l and the Rebbe R’ Elimelech of Lizhensk, ztz”l, the Rebbe of Ropschitz ztz”l, the rebbe Rabbi Y. A. of Zhidichov ztz”l, and the Rebbe R’ Meir of Premishlan, ztz”l.’
With these lines, the Rebbe of Spinka opens his lengthy letter that continues all the way to the other side of the leaf. The Admo”r of Spinka details the Rebbetzin’s lofty lineage in his letter. He mentions her husband, Rabbi Baruch, who was the av beit din in Brizdivitz and Nachalah. He describes the family’s difficult situation. He writes that the honor of a woman, daughter of the King, is internal – yet she is obliged to travel all over.
The rebbe concludes with important blessings: “All goodness with an abundance of blessing and success, the prayers of one who … prays for [you] among the Jewish people, signed [in 1914], on Monday of the parashah “You shall also raise” in the year וע”ת הק”ץ ב”א.
