Solitary copy offered for sale – the last leaf of the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty, signed by Menachem Begin, Anwar Sadat and Jimmy Carter. Before the signing of the treaty, 9 copies were prepared – each one of the states: Israel, Egypt and the USA, received copies in three languages – Hebrew, Arabic and English, so that a total of 9 copies of this historical peace treaty were to be signed. Before us is an extraordinarily rare additional and unknown copy signed by the three leaders; there are no other copies known, aside from the copies kept by the state archive of each of the countries. The booklet: “Document of the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty” published by the Information Center is included with the agreement. Original signatures by Begin, Sadat and Carter appear on the binding. Egyptian President Anwar Sadat visited Israel in 1977, opening the door to normalization of the relationship between Israel and its greatest rival, Egypt. The visit led to efforts to the establishment of a sustainable peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, a treaty which was eventually signed on March 26, 1979 on the White House lawn. The treaty also led to Begin and Sadat being awarded the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize. [1] leaf, 28×21.5 cm. Fine condition, two light stains. Pay Attention!
