Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer im Be’er Heitev . Amsterdam, 1753. Copy that belonged to the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Yeshayah Bennet, av beit din of Misslitz and Kaliv, son of Mahara”m Bennet, av beit din of Nikolsberg.
The front flyleaf features Rabbi Yeshyahu Bennet’s signature: “הק’ ישעי’ בנעט מנ”ש [מניקלשבורג] חו'[נה] פה ק”ק מיזלאפ.” It is important to note here that Rabbi Yeshayah’s signatures are extraordinarily rare (even more so than his father’s). This was his personal Shulchan Aruch, a work known to be a rabbi’s primary professional tool, accompanying him his entire life. (This Shulchan Aruch was printed the year his father, Mahara”m Bennet, was born.)
