Sefer Eliyahu Mizrachi al Peirush Rash”i al HaTorah – one of the most important and fundamental commentaries, constantly cited in Torah literature, by the gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Mizrachi – the Re’e”m, chief rabbi of the Ottoman empire. Furth, 1763.
Owner’s stamp on the title page: “Aharon Yehuda Leib Teomim of Zawichost” – the gaon Rabbi Aharon Yehudah Leib Teomim of Zawichost, brother of the sacred Rabbi Baruch Frankel Teomim, author of Baruch Ta’am . According to some sources, Rabbi Leibush (or his son) changed his family name to Weinberger; he was the patriarch of the Polish Weinberger family. Several additional antique signatures on the top of the title page, unidentified. They may be from the Frankel-Teomim family.
In the book Nifla’ot HaYehudi about the Rebbe of Peshischa, it relates that in his youth, the Yehudi HaKadosh would travel to Rabbi Leibush’s home to teach his young children (possibly from this very copy).
Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Aharon Yehudah Leibush Frankel-Teomim-Weinberger .
