This book was published in a number of similar editions with no note of the date, which caused great confusion in library catalogs worldwide. According to certain inscriptions it matches one of the book’s first editions circa 1849, and according to other inscriptions of a number of plates it matches a new edition from 1875. In the book are ownership certificates from 1882. Original red cover with gilded embossing. Full gold page cut. Reinforcement on the side of the spine. Fine condition.
