Rare and extremely important letter, with the words “materially and spiritually” – as well as the ” gefen ” blessings (גפ”ן [ג’עזונט, פ’רנסה, נ’חת]) and blessings for success leading the community and giving Torah classes. The Rayya”tz adds the words “materially and spiritually” in the margins of the letter, doubling his blessing in his own script, followed by his signature. Brooklyn, New York, 1 Shevat 1948.
The Rebbe the Rayya”tz grants abundant blessings for health: “May Hashem strengthen [your] health and the health of [your] entire family”; Nachat: “May [your] family live and prosper”; abundant and easy livelihood: “May Hashem give [you] expansive, tranquil and good sustenance”; to succeed leading the congregations and Torah classes: “And may [you] succeed in your sacred service to strengthen public study in your congregation.”
At the end of the letter, the rebbe goes back and repeats his blessings, increasing them by writing in his hand: “materially and spiritually.” This repetition is known to symbolize unceasing multiplicity in the sense of ‘he will give and return and give’ – infinitely.
