* Youpino – illustrated booklet for children that tells the story of a Jewish youth in 12 drawings. Under the drawings are captions that end each time with the sentence “Parce que c’ etait un Juif” (“because he’s a Jew!”) The story starts when he is a baby and he steals his friends’ toys. It continues with his villainous behavior in school and his trickery there, through adulthood, when he begins to deprive the poor of their possessions, destroys food to raise its price, dodges the draft, etc. The story ends with a promise that the day will come when the weary laborers will expel the Jews from their territory.
