Four photographs taken during the filming of the movie “Klallah LiVrachah” by photographer Kurt Triest. The movie was filmed during the respite in the War of Independence, and distributed in Israel in 1951. Kurt Triest (1907-1981) was born in Nuremburg, Germany. He studied painting at the Berlin Academy of Arts. At the end of the 1920s, he worked in photography and graphics for various German newspapers. In 1936, he ascended to the Land of Israel illegally and settled in Tel Aviv. He became the in-house photographer of the HaBimah theater and opened a photography studio called Photo-Temunah in partnership with photographer Moshe Rosenthal.
