Rabbi Shapira discusses his vision of establishing a yeshiva that would be a center for Torah and fear of G-d for all religious Jewry, without divisional party lines. “This yeshiva will be close to those who study the daf yomi, because its Torah study will be arranged so that every day the daf will be studied together with its related Rishonim and Tur and Shulchan Aruch.” The religious community is asked to donate towards the establishment of the yeshiva and its maintenance at the conclusion of each tractate per the daf yomi schedule: A number of coins equal to the number of leaves in that tractate should be donated. Rabbi Shapira concludes with an appeal: “Recognize that the future of this Torah center is in your hands and don’t take it lightly … Signed with a heart full of longing and love for Torah and those who study it, Hak’ Meir Shapira, Av Beit Din and lecturer in Piotrkow.”
