[2] leaves. 17 x 22 cm. The second leaf has a cut on the first line with damage to some of the words. Fine condition. A long halakhic answer in his handwriting and with his signature from the period he lived in Jerusalem, and in the opening is written: “BS”H, the Holy City of Jerusalem, may it be rebuilt in our time…”
The author of “Imrei Bina” was born in 1815 in Kowel, his father was the author of “Divrei Hayim, ” and his grandfather was the author of “Divrei Mishpat, ” and served as the Head of the Beit Din of Kolo. From 1856 he was the Head of the Beit Din of Kalish and in 1860 he immigrated to Jerusalem, after which Rabbi Shmuel Salanter decided to hand over the reigns of the city leadership to him and he became known as the Rabbi of Jerusalem.
