Leaves 1-33 from Sefer HaZohar al Chumash Bereishit [Mantua, 1558]. First edition of this fundamental work of Kabbalistic doctrine.
Most of the leaves bear glosses (some lengthy) in Italian script, apparently by various writers. Some of the glosses are blemished and very faded.
Page 12b bears a handwritten gloss with content that appears (with slight textual differences and with the addition of a passage) in Sefer Ohr HaChamah by the Mahar”a Azoulay, called “Gilayon: and following that, in the Rama”z’s commentary on the Zohar .
1-33 leaf (the complete volume contains: [8], 251 leaf). 18.5 cm.
Moderate condition. Tears and blemishes in the inner margins (with damage to some of the glosses), professionally restored. The leaves are divided into 8 separate groups, without binding or stitching.
