The photos depict groups of refugees near empty railroad cars that had transported Jews to the camps; large group picture of refugees with a flag bearing the [Hebrew] text “Lochamei HaGhetaot,” photos on the train tracks and more.
The Nazis murdered about 60,000 of 80,000 Jews who lived in Yugoslavia under the Nazi occupation during the Second World War. After the war, most Yugoslavian survivors moved to Palestine.
Ten photos measuring: 6×8 cm. One measures 7×10 cm. and one large photo is 13×18 cm.
