“After the Maharsha”m of Berezhan, we don’t do anything without consulting Rabbi Meir” (The Mahari”d of Belz)
Manuscript, novellae by the gaon hageonim Rabbi Meir Arik, av beit din of Turna, on Yerushalmi Nedarim. These are the insights on Chap. II halachah 4, leaf 6, until Chap. IX halachah 9 leaf 11. [Turna, early 20th century.]
Seven pages handwritten by the leading posek of Galicia, about whom the gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky observed “Lithuania has no gaon like him.” Rabbi Meir Arik’s manuscripts are extremely rare, and the few that survived are mainly short letters. This is a complete kuntress [approximately 1500 words!] in his penmanship. These novellae are printed by him in his lifetime in his sefer , Tal Torah (Vienna 1921), and it is interesting to compare this draft with the printed version.
