Lengthy letter with Torah novellae covering two large pages [over 700 words], entirely handwritten and signed by the posek hador , the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler, av beit din of Mád, and author of Shu”t Levushei Mordechai . Mád, 1913.
The letter was sent to the gaon Rabbi Simchah Nathan Greenberg, “precious gem of the Beregszász community” [later av beit din of Kezmark and environs]. It is written in four parts, marked א-ג and a final paragraph appearing on its own. Most of the responsum [parts א-ג ] is printed in Levushei Mordechai [Orach Chaim Tanina, siman 92], without the words of apology at the beginning of the letter and without the final halachic passage [approximately 60 words] of the letter.

Moderate-fine condition. Small tears in the corners of the leaf, with damage to single letters. Tears without lack in the folds, restored with non-acidic tape.
