The Rebbe calls Rabbi Meisel “My friend, my in-law.” In the letter, the Rebbe blesses: “May Hash-m strengthen [your] health and give [you] length of days and years … May G-d grant [you] material and spiritual success.” Brooklyn, New York.
The Admo”r Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn of Lubavitch – the Rayya”tz [1880-1950] was the sixth Admo”r of Chaba”d, founder of the Tomchei Temimim yeshivahs together with his father, the Admo”r the Rasha”b. He was crowned his father’s successor as the Admo”r of Chaba”d in 1920. As a result of his activities disseminating Judaism, he was arrested several times by the Communist government; yet this did not deter him and he continued his work with total devotion. He immigrated to Brooklyn in 1940, where he established the Chaba”d world center.
