All written, signed, and stamped by Rabbi Bengis.Rabbi Bengis, rav”d of Jerusalem, asks Dr. Wallach, founder and director of Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital about treatment for Rabbi Yisrael Grossman. Rabbi Bengis praises Rabbi Grossman and recommends that Dr. Wallach help him with the cost of the treatment, adding that it would be a big merit for him.
Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis (1864-1953) was born in Lithuania and was rabbi in Bodki, Smolensk, and Kalvarija. He was renowned for his genius. In 1938, he immigrated to Jerusalem and served as the rav”d of the Eidah HaCharedis, and from 1949 as gav”d.
