The letter is addressed to “Our beloved R’ Eliya’ Eliezer” in which Rabbi Dessler apologizes for the delay in writing due to his growing number of distractions. At the end of the letter Rabbi Dessler adds a question mark to the titles “Rabbi” and “Rebbetzin.”
Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Dessler (1892-1953) was a student of the Beit Midrash of Kelm, from the family of the founders of the Beit Midrash and one of the leaders of the
mussar movement. Served as a rabbi in England and as mashgiach of the Gateshead Yeshiva in England and the Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. Author of the book
