Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Ponovezh [1877-1942] was the youngest son of the Admor, author of the Sfat Emet from Gur, and the brother of the Admor, author of the Imrei Emet from Gur. He was the Rav of Ponovezh and later of Kalish. He served as the head of Agudat HaRabbanim of Poland, and as a member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael. He is considered one of the founders of the Chareidi press in Poland. During the holocaust he was one of the leaders of the Chareidi population in the Warsaw Ghetto. Filing punch-holes. Fold marks.
