Rabbi Yosef Leifer [1891-1966] was born to his father Rabbi Dov Bertche of Nadvorna. He was the son-in-law of Avraham Abba Wolf. He learned in the Yeshiva of Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald in Satmar. He settled in Pittsburg. When he died, his remains were transferred to Israel. Refer to: Encyclopedia L’Chassidut, 2, 115-116. His only son, Admor Rabbi Avraham Aba, settled his court in Ashdod.
The Admor’s brother, Rabbi Meir Leifer [? – 1941] was the son-in-law of Alter Eliezer Shapira of Strizov. He served as Admor in Budapest. After the First World War, he immigrated to the United States and established his court in Cleveland. He later moved to Williamsburg.
Minimal aging stains and crease in the fold. Very fine condition.
