The letter was sent to Rabbi Alexander Sender Yudasin, one of the most prominent Chabad rabbis in the Holy Land. He was rabbi of Jaffa’s Chassidic community for nearly half a century, member of the Beit Din, and author of books on the Talmud and Tanya. New York, 1958. In the letter, the Rebbe acknowledges receipt of a previous letter and adds good wishes for the new year. The Rebbe proceeds to associate psalm “לדוד, ה’ אורי וישעי” with the final redemption.
