Letter written and signed by Admor Shalom Noach Berezovsky of Slonim, author of Netivot Shalom; sent to his chassid, Rabbi Moshe Werner, son of the Rabbi of Tiberias.
Specifications: [1] letterhead, 14×22 cm. Signed autograph. Written on the 5th of Nissan, 1968.
Content: As a loyal pedagogue, the Admor uses his poetical language to encourage his chassid in honor of the publication of a compilation of his Torah thoughts. He writes: “Though I have no spare time these days, I could not stop myself from looking through the pages and enjoying your ideas. They remind me of your learning style and original approach. From the depths of my heart, I bless you that this should be a good start…and that you start living a life of spiritual creation…and in this booklet, I perceive the first drops of rains of blessings that follow the drought.”
Background: Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky (1911-2000) was the son-in-law and successor of the “Birkat Avraham” of Slonim. He was noted as a genius and philosopher. His Netivot Shalom is very popular amongst the Lithuanian and national-religious communities – a very rare occurrence with chassidic works in general, and especially those written recently. He saw the good in everybody, even his fervent opponents.
Condition: Very fine, small stain.
